Buckle Up!

Last week my fiancee was driving him and I to the store so we can do some grocery shopping. I always wear my seat belt no matter how short the ride. He on the other hand refuses to wear his at all because it makes him feel constricted. So we were driving down the street and we pass a cop parked on the side of the road behind a tree. I looked in my mirror at the cop car and see him pull out behind us with his lights on. I look at Ney and said "Now you'll learn to wear your belt". As the cop is getting out of his car Ney slides his belt across him and clicks it in. The cop got to the window with is sunglasses on and said "Nice move slipping your belt on after you saw me...Ma'am." He lowers his glasses and looks straight at me and asked "Why did you think I pulled you over? It's the law that you have to wear your seat belt...Ma'am." He asked for our I.D.s and walked back to his car. "Ma'am?" I whispered to Ney. "You were the one not wearing a freakin seat belt!" He sat there with a surprised look on his face. When the cop returned to the window and handed us our I.D.s, he looked at me and said "I'm going to let you go with a warning because your record is clean." he looked at Ney and said "Sir, I seen your belt clear as day". I don't remember what he said after that because I was so shocked at how blind he was. I almost got a ticket for not wearing my belt when I was clearly wearing my belt. Ugh!
