This design gives me a tropical feeling. Using an ice mold for the chocolate flower, poured in some melted (blue) white chocolate and let it harden. I handmade the leafs out of marshmallow fondant and placed them on top of a white fondant circle. The cupcake is chocolate with creamy peanut butter frosting. Ever since I discovered the simplicity of a Cake Pop I've been hooked! I am in love with these things. A bite size piece of moist cake covered with chocolate... and there is no end to how they can be decorated. I used chocolate cake, covered it with blue melting chocolate, simple added some sprinkles and a Gold Fish and I have created a yummy masterpiece :-) For more tips and tricks Like my Facebook page!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00862252390128881182noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9076756747762258793.post-13447871942734114612012-07-09T10:11:00.002-07:002012-07-09T10:11:37.135-07:00Fishy Cupcakes

These were so much fun to make. I was practicing these for an upcoming order. I'm excited to make them in all kinds of colors. I used a mini chocolate cupcake with whipped cream icing and melted white chocolate to shape the fins. For the eyes I use Smarties and melted chocolate instead of buying already made eyes that I think are over priced. I would also add a little red heart for the lips, I'll keep am eye out for those or some thing similar. First thing on my list is to make my own cards with Tyler on them. We searched around for stores that have Santa so we could take pictures with him but the only one we found him in was the mall. Long lines and high prices just for one picture... I don't think so! I decided to make them myself. I dressed him up and sat him down next to our 2 foot tree and snapped a bunch of shots of him playing with the ornaments. I chose this one because his Dad says it looks like he just got caught peeking at presents :) It came out so cute!
We went to Aunt Nina's for turkey dinner and I brought homemade mashed potatoes (my first time mashing them!). Josh wanted to make a bunch of bags of instant potatoes but I wasn't going to let that happen. This is the one day that you must make everything from scratch... besides the stuffing of course :) I love microwave stuffing. Favorite brand diapers? I got a bunch of different brands from my baby shower, my fav is Parents Choice. Not only are they more affordable, I think they fit and absorb the best.

Size diaper bag and brand? I got a big one from my baby shower that's made by Fisher Price, but I only use that for an over night bag when he will need more things like his bath stuff, toys and blankets. For his daily bad I use a small one that I got from the hospital that's made my Gerber.

Did you use a swing? Yes! He was either in our arms or in his swing for the first month. Now that he is 3 months old he rather be playing on his mat and doing Tummy Time.
Do you recommend a mat? Yes! I have one that looks like a jungle and it's great for Tummy Time and also has toys that hang so he can reach for then while on his back. I didn't think he would use it but I just bought one and he loves it. I actually posted a video of him playing on it on my YouTube. You can watch it Here :)
Do you recommend a bassinet or pack n' play? Yes! He slept in his bassinet every night and I had it next to our bed so I could keep an eye on him and it's easy to move around. As of two weeks ago he is too big for it and now sleeps in his pack n' play. We have a crib but it's in storage right now. When we move he will be sleeping in it and his pack n' play will be in the living room for naps.
Do you use a soother/ what kind? I didn't use one until I stopped breast feeding. I use a Binky. I didn't want to give him one but when I did he seemed a lot more relaxed and it helped him fall asleep easier. He only uses it now when his teeth hurt.

What items did you buy but don't need? Um, I got a swing, changing table, stroller (with matching car seat and two extra car seats), bassinet, play mat, pack n' play and a crib. I use everything but I don't think you really need a crib if you have a pack n' play. I also want to say how amazing my friends and family are for giving us most of these things, even the swing that we bought with a gift card from my baby shower..♥.

Your must have item? Lots of moms say a changing table is not needed but I Love mine and use it for every changing. I takes the place of a dresser too because I keep all his clothes on it's shelf. (the ones that fit him this month lol) I always sneak in a small Tummy Time after changes also!
Any advise on breastfeeding or bottle? I think it is important to breast feed, or at least try it. That's why we have boobs!! I loved doing it, I can't really explain the emotional feeling other then saying it feels amazing. After only two weeks of doing it it started to hurt so bad that I would be in tears. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong so I stopped. I felt bad but I knew I couldn't keep on. As for bottle, my favorite brand is Avent. I got a nice variety from my baby shower. I like this one because it has a ring in it that lets air in but doesn't leak.
Yours/ daddy's/ baby's hair and eye color? All of us have brown hair and bluish green eyes. Tylers eyes are mostly blue.

Any last advise? You will always receive advise from people whether it's good or bad, it's your job to do what you think is best for your child. I find that multitasking is the key to motherhood. When you are buying clothes for your baby don't always go by size. I've seen some huge ones that say newborn and some small ones that say 9 months. Ask your friends to buy a verity of sizes for your baby shower. You will go through newborn sizes quick.

Well that is all I have for now. I'll be back with more baby fun, news, and advise soon! As we waited in the checkout line I noticed these Pretzel M&M's and decided to grab a bag since I've been interested in trying them since I seen their cute and funny commercial. I love chocolate covered pretzels and the salt brings out a different flavor in the chocolate but I am sad to say that I was dissapointed in these little guys. Described as “crunchy,” “salty,” and “sweet,” these latest M&M's are only saying "crunchy" to me. The undersalted chunk of pretzel is too big and there was bearly any chocolate between it and the candy coating leaving my mouth dry. I think for me, when it comes to M&M's, I'll stick to the peanut pack.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00862252390128881182noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9076756747762258793.post-4548313678470904482011-02-05T18:24:00.000-08:002011-02-05T18:24:02.576-08:00Snack time for my pups!

It is so much fun being able to use my crazy imagination to make things and it's even better when someone is interested in buying them. I have 2 posted so far and I'll be working on some more in the morning, but for now...prego is craving Oreos!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00862252390128881182noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9076756747762258793.post-70364902891950846462011-01-28T10:29:00.000-08:002011-01-28T10:29:21.380-08:00Baby Week~ Scarletrevolution.Etsy.com

I don't know what it is about baby footprints but when I seen them on this necklace it just melted my heart. I found this one in a shop called Scarletrevolution. She uses origami, scrapbook, and handmade papers placed on metal rings and preserved in layers of dimensional sealer. I love how you can put the simplest things together and create something so amazing. Check out the other necklaces she makes and sells here!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00862252390128881182noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9076756747762258793.post-84910035513382563502011-01-25T05:28:00.000-08:002011-01-25T05:31:02.682-08:00Baby Week~ Snickerdoodlesforyou.Etsy.com

I am happy to say that I have never been peed on while changing a diaper...yet! I've had plenty of opportunities being that I have 3 nieces and now 3 nephews. I hope my luck doesn't change when my little one arrives. I've never heard of anything like this before, these "pee pee teepees" seem like a must-have accessory for every baby boy’s diaper change. I found these in a shop called Snickerdoodlesforyou. They even have a nice little ribbon sewn into the tip for picking them up to help leave your fingers dry if your little boy dose go pee pee. I think these are practical and would make the perfect baby shower gift for any mommy and daddy-to-be. She machine sews them herself and has a variety of prints and colors to choose from. Celebrating my birthday, buying new clothes that fit, doing our baby registry and telling everyone that we are having a boy :). The "Aunt to be" went with us to my appointment and I seen her face light up when she saw baby on the big screen for the first time. She has two little ones of her own so she knows how special this check up was for us. He is developing well and everything seems to be on track. I feel huge already and I'm only half way there. I totally agree that the second trimester is way better then the first. Besides having no more morning sickness, I now have a "bump", daddy is now able to feel baby kicking and best of all...we found out we are having a boy.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00862252390128881182noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9076756747762258793.post-56597608924351960602011-01-12T17:33:00.000-08:002011-01-12T17:33:11.606-08:00I'm Pregnant! We have been trying to conceive for a few months and after a couple of negative tests I patiently waited another month to take another test. I remember waiting in the bathroom for what seemed like forever until the test was complete as my hubby waited in the bedroom. When I looked at it and seen the little positive sign I was shocked and filled with happiness. I put the test down and slowly walked to the bedroom with a huge smile on my face. After looking at each other for a few seconds I finally said "It's positive" and he jumped up and gave me a huge hug. So we spent the next week going to the doctors and finding everyone so we can tell them all individually face to face.
Almost five months later... I am finally over the "morning sickness" and past the "chubby" stage. I'm clearly showing now and everyone says I'm carrying low. My boobs got bigger but so did my love handles. I've been taking belly pictures like crazy and I'm loving it. The week of Christmas I started to feel tiny baby kicks and now it feels like there is popcorn cooking in my belly. I notice I can feel it kicking every time I eat. I get my hubby to put his hand on my belly every night to see if he can feel it yet but he says he still can't feel anything :( I can't wait to see his reaction when he finally dose feel it and I know soon we will be able to see it moving around in there. My baby ''week by week'' website says that this week baby is the size of a large tomato. My next doctors appointment is Tuesday the 18th (2 days after my birthday). I'll be 20 weeks and we will be able to find out the sex of the baby...fingers crossed for a GIRL!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00862252390128881182noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9076756747762258793.post-45807235627522218712011-01-11T19:59:00.000-08:002011-01-11T19:59:23.601-08:00SwagBucks!Has anyone heard of SwagBucks before? It's a FREE online portal dedicated to helping you earn digital dollars which can be redeemed for 1000's of awesome prizes. I joined about 2 weeks ago and so far I earned like 500 points. There are many fun and super easy ways to earn them, from looking up sites like you would normally do on Google, doing surveys, answering daily polls, finding secret codes, and even watching videos on SwagBucks TV. I was introduced to this by my sister and I used her referral link so every time I earn points from searching she also gets points. If you are interested in joining please use this link and let me know what you think of it :) Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00862252390128881182noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9076756747762258793.post-40917165713309973822009-12-23T00:26:00.000-08:002009-12-23T00:51:02.635-08:00Hello Makeup!!!<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 113px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvLIybHyEWjJdbZ33_6EUqun5VX7WkuUBpPqv4MxY1rtAz7L1mdujib8raWpq510FvFa3mgNV82M7LNDVQdFqfXCAlgUXdyUUJ1S18tcWVHLhPmfL7fn2-Zt1bmHwllyXb9813ZtYv8Bw/s320/pretttty.jpeg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5418350398087583746" />

My sister has been talking a lot about makeup lately. I think she may be trying to give me hints on what to get her for Christmas but I already have hers under the tree and no it's not makeup. Anyways, she got me thinking that I should put more time into getting ready to go out. I went threw all of my makeup that I rarely use and I've been experimenting with different colors. I've been getting some really neat tips on how to apply makeup from a girl on You Tube name Tiffany. I also found out that she has a blog http://makeupbytiffanyd.blogspot.com/ I'm still practicing on blending the colors together.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00862252390128881182noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9076756747762258793.post-40928053267862105422009-09-07T19:12:00.000-07:002009-09-07T19:44:29.650-07:00Buckle Up!Last week my fiancee was driving him and I to the store so we can do some grocery shopping. I always wear my seat belt no matter how short the ride. He on the other hand refuses to wear his at all because it makes him feel constricted. So we were driving down the street and we pass a cop parked on the side of the road behind a tree. I looked in my mirror at the cop car and see him pull out behind us with his lights on. I look at Ney and said "Now you'll learn to wear your belt". As the cop is getting out of his car Ney slides his belt across him and clicks it in. The cop got to the window with is sunglasses on and said "Nice move slipping your belt on after you saw me...Ma'am." He lowers his glasses and looks straight at me and asked "Why did you think I pulled you over? It's the law that you have to wear your seat belt...Ma'am." He asked for our I.D.s and walked back to his car. "Ma'am?" I whispered to Ney. "You were the one not wearing a freakin seat belt!" He sat there with a surprised look on his face. When the cop returned to the window and handed us our I.D.s, he looked at me and said "I'm going to let you go with a warning because your record is clean." he looked at Ney and said "Sir, I seen your belt clear as day". I don't remember what he said after that because I was so shocked at how blind he was. I almost got a ticket for not wearing my belt when I was clearly wearing my belt. Ugh!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00862252390128881182noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9076756747762258793.post-47587407587919990012009-08-27T16:47:00.000-07:002009-08-27T18:03:29.046-07:00My Canine Kids<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 169px; height: 126px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGmqysPr9IKyh6LJqGrRxdShI7ZOYMwEbxhdeB9QUsok5EFcPdkYVQoFfkEIRtx_NzwQU-xk7DUE6noHap2q3ymAmJpUqwDQ29zoeJVt6nMP5c8dzsn7DQmYAvqmYWGeDLk6TTUYpjtC8/s320/Picture+001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5374796638482851218" />

They say that the canine is a man's best friend. I believe that just like everyone has a certain soul mate, they also have some type of animal made for them to love and provide for. Whether it's as small as a mouse or as big as a horse. Luckily for me, my fiancee had a Chihuahua and a Rat Terrier when I met him. I kind of was adopted into his family of three and now I think of them as my babies :) My princess Daisy is on the left and my prince Chico is on the right. They play and fight as if they were actually brother and sister. They cry for our attention when they feel left out and they love going to the park at least once a week. I take then early in the morning when there is no kids on the playground. They swing with me, slide down the slides and make me chase them threw the tubes. I couldn't imagine actually having a baby because I think my dogs would go insane if I'm giving another small creature more attention then they are getting. Daisy even gets jealous when Chico is laying on me. She will whine and lay on top of him until he decides to move. They can't go a night without sleeping snuggled up next to each of us every night and the best part is, I can't sleep without them either.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00862252390128881182noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9076756747762258793.post-62033548642994720262009-08-27T06:28:00.000-07:002009-08-27T06:57:55.853-07:00Rain Rain Go Away!Yesterday I was getting ready to go to a friends house for dinner when I heard it start to rain and thunder really bad. I walked into my kitchen to grab my phone so I could call to cancel when I heard the tiniest "meow" coming from under my sink. I yelled for my fiance's help. He grabbed a flash light and searched under everything. No kitten anywhere. I realized it was coming from under the house. Then my mind started playing the "what if" game. What if the kitten is getting wet? What if it's yelling for it's mommy and it's frightened from the rain? So, I talked him into going outside in the rain to check. When he returned, soaking wet, he said he found a small hole under the house that was to dark to see in. All he could see was the dirt and it was dry. We figured the kitten wasn't getting wet and it should be fine. I checked on it this morning and saw a big mama cat crawling under there. I haven't seen any kittens yet but I still hear meows every now and then. Now it's more then one!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00862252390128881182noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9076756747762258793.post-75508184950055952302009-08-24T17:33:00.000-07:002009-08-24T20:26:12.590-07:00I need to Blog!!I can't believe I haven't blogged in over two months. I can blame my lovely new job for that. I was watching Tyra the other day and she was talking about the new Nivea product called My Silhouette. I was reading comments and reviews about it online and many people said that it works way better then any other toneing skin cream. I bought a bottle and have been using it for three days now and even tho it says I'll see results in four weeks, I am already noticing that my skin is really smooth. I recently lost some weight and want something that will help tone my body as I continue to work out. I was getting nice results from doing palates but I'v been having blood presure problems so I switch to yoga and a show called Shimmy. Shimmy is belly dancing that focuses on your stumach, hips and thighs... which is my unperfect areas. Auhh, I feel better now. Time to do some Shimmy!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00862252390128881182noreply@blogger.com0
